James Whelton is an Irish computer coder, venture capital advisor, and co-founder of CoderDojo, a network of free computer clubs for children.

James is a regular speaker, talking on topics from entrepreneurship to technical subjects. He has spoken at conferences such as the Web Summit, F.ounders, Funconf, JSConf US & Berlin, Distill San Francisco, Mozilla's Mozfest and more, in addition to speaking at a number of colleges, universities and embassies.

 

James has worked alongside Twitter, Google, Facebook, GitHub, Microsoft, Enterprise Ireland, US State Department and more in partnerships with CoderDojo. He has also been involved in advising and addressing government bodies nationally and internationally on subjects such as youth entrepreneurship and technology education.
