How do we deal with it, when suddenly the layers of our reality are being swiped away, and everything we thought were solid pillars in our constructed picture of reality, is actually … fake?

Yeah, that’s hard to imagine, isn’t it? If at all.
But you know what? You might be closer to that than you ever thought you could be.

Let’s talk for a moment about our media, because they are some key in this story.
What do you think is the media’s purpose?
– To inform us. Right.
To in-form us about what is happening in the world.

When layers of reality suddenly fall apart, we usually experience some kind of shock. How it is individually experienced, depends pretty much on one’s psychological makeup. But most likely, it will be some sort of defensive behavior, like denial, despair or even outrage.
It cannot be what cannot be.

When a layer of reality falls apart, the experience can be deeply traumatizing and shocking. It can be disturbing and frightening, questioning everything that you believed to be true.
It can attack the very core of what we think we are, bringing us in a tailspin, not knowing what actually is happening.

I remember when I was about 15 and the Berlin wall fell. I heard stories about older people who found themselves in deep, deep shock and were dissolved in tears about what was happening in the country. They realized that what they had utterly believed in all their lifetime – the socialist system & how well it worked – just broke apart. Gone. They didn’t see it coming.
Obviously, a pretty big part of the population was content with the shift. They were the silent ones, maybe even the repressed ones. They had nothing to loose. They tried their luck, and they were lucky. They have had enough.
Those elder people – living in their bubble of reality – didn’t see it coming. Maybe they did not want to see it. I don’t know. But when their bubble burst, the shock that overcame them, was shockingly intense.

Some years ago when I was on holiday in some remote tourist destination on the coast of Germany, I entered a tiny, cozy bookstore. The store owner, a lady in her mid-30’s, was in conversation with an elderly woman. Whilst I was scanning the books, I couldn’t help but listen to their conversation.

They talked about these things that are publicly not talked about.

These things that everybody sees and hears, but that nobody says out loud.

I was familiar with what they talked about, so I cocked my ears. Then, the lady said something that would never again leave my mind.
As a child she had asked her grandmother, if she really had not known anything about what the Nazi’s did during WW2. And that’s what her grandmother replied to her:
“Oh, child, if we would have wanted to see it, we could have seen it.”

That hit me. It went deep.

It is a complete analogy of what is happening today.

The mass media are not here to inform us.
They have their own agenda.

I TELL YOU WHAT TO BUY.
I TELL YOU WHAT TO THINK.
I TELL YOU HOW TO VIEW OTHER PEOPLE.
I TELL YOU WHAT TO WEAR.
I TELL YOU WHAT’S IN STYLE.
I TELL YOU WHAT TO EAT.
I TELL YOU WHAT’S UGLY.
I TELL YOU WHAT’S BEAUTIFUL.
I TELL YOU HALF THE STORY.
I LIE AND YOU BELIEVE ME.

So now, just in case some of the layers of what we think is real, will soon fall apart.
How do you deal with that?

There’s a difference between whether an individual bubble of reality is bursting, or if it’s a collective bubble.
If it happens just for one person, it is easier for non-involved people to turn away from.
But if it happens collectively, there is nowhere to turn to, nothing to turn away from. We are all in the same boat.

It’s coming closer. Can you feel it, too?

It’s not supposed to punish us as a collective. It is destined to elevate us.
To make us realize we are imprisoned by our minds, and there are forces at play that want to keep the collective asleep. Forces that benefit from a civilization asleep, that can easily be manipulated by materialistic needs.

This bubble will burst, one way or another.

Song text from Melissa Etheridge:

Open your mind
Cause you have been blind
Imagine the answers
Or questions will be all you find
Open your mind
